Bioinformatics is about harnessing the power of computers to advance knowledge in the biological and biomedical sciences. This Postgraduate Certificate programme will meet the growing demand for biologists trained in the acquisition, management, and analysis of omics data.
Students will graduate with work-ready competencies in biological data acquisition, management, and analysis, using web-based graphical user interface software. Flexibility provided by the online and evening delivery of the programme content will enable those in full time employment to complete the course.
The programme focuses on developing a solid understanding of omics data and its associated databases as well as building abilities to effectively use some of the core tools of Bioinformatics.
Certain semesters of this course are taken in common with other courses.
