Each year ATU Donegal attracts a growing number of students from all over Ireland, Northern Ireland and over 31 countries.
So for many students we understand that this may be their first time to live away from home.
Whilst the ATU Donegal does not have on-campus residence, there is plenty of affordable, quality student accommodation nearby on both Letterkenny and Killybegs campuses. ATU Donegal Students' Union provides a list of approved rentals, sharing, digs and purpose-built student accommodation for each campus. The good news is the cost of accommodation is a lot less than in the major cities.
Find your bearings and the best way to get around. See what Letterkenny and Killybegs have to offer. Our campuses are well connected to Belfast, Dublin and across the island of Ireland.
Named the ‘coolest place on the planet’ by National Geographic in 2017, Donegal has some of the most spectacular places to explore and has a rich culture including a thriving Gaeltacht. Whilst you’re here, drop in on a trad session, climb Errigal (only 2464ft) or practice your cúpla focal in Gweedore.
