ATU Sports Scholarship

The ATU Sports Scholarship programme provides supports to talented student athletes to recognise their need to balance both sporting and academic commitments. Through both financial and non-financial benefits, the ATU Sport Scholarship programme aims to reward students for their dedication and skill and provide them further opportunity to develop as students and sportspeople. Full-Time Sports Scholarship

The ATU Donegal Full-Time Sports Scholarship is aimed at any existing and registered full-time students who have demonstrated the ability to progress their sporting endeavours during the academic year, when representing ATU Donegal, and externally with their club/representative team. The value of the scholarship ranges from €500 - €1,000.

ATU Donegal/GPA Postgraduate Sports Scholarship

This recently launched ATU Donegal/GPA (Gaelic Players Association) partnership allows for up to 4 fully funded, postgraduate places to male and female members of the GPA who wish to study at ATU Donegal. The value of each scholarship is up to €5,750 for one year only and will be delivered through a full or partial fee waiver where necessary. ATU Donegal will contribute 50% of the programme fee to a maximum of €2,875 with the GPA contributing the remaining 50% of the programme fee to a maximum of €2,875. If the programme fee is higher than €5,750 then the successful applicant will be liable for any shortfall that may exist.

Submission of an applications requires two simple steps:

(a) GPA members must apply to their programme of choice at ATU Donegal through the normal procedures. Click here for full list of ATU Donegal postgraduate courses available and application details.

(b) Applicants must subsequently apply directly to the GPA for the ATU Donegal/GPA postgraduate scholarship providing details of the postgraduate programme they have applied for at ATU Donegal.
