Professional Body Exemptions

Body-ExemptionsMany of our courses attract generous exemptions from professional bodies, which means that once you graduate you’ll be exempt from having to sit certain examinations specific to your profession.

Our courses also enjoy accreditation from professional bodies so your qualifications are already industry approved as you embark on your career.

From law to civil engineering you can see the relevant exemptions below. It’s important to note that all exemptions are subject to annual review by the various professional bodies and are based on you passing specific modules.

Accountancy

LY108: Exemptions are available from professional accountancy bodies including ICA, ACCA, CPA and CIMA.

MA in Accounting: Our innovative Masters programme is developed in close collaboration with the professional accounting bodies and attracts significant exemptions from ACCA, CPA, CAI and CIMA. It has a 100% employment rate for graduates.

Law

LY208: Your law degree is accredited by King’s Inns, as well as the Institute of Professional Legal Studies (Northern Ireland). It’s also allows you to sit the first part of FE1: the final examination of the Law Society.

LY207: This law degree is accredited by King’s Inn and allows you to sit the first part of FE1: the final examination of the Law Society.

Civil Engineering & Construction

Engineers Ireland accredit the following courses: The BEng in Civil Engineering, BEng in Building Services & Renewable Energy, and BSc (Hons) in Fire Safety Engineering.

Our Quantity Surveying Honours degree is accredited by the Society of Charted Surveyors Ireland and the BSc in Architectural Technology is accredited by the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland.
