How to Apply

placeholder imageDepending on whether you are a Non-EU student or an Erasmus+ student the application process differs. Both processes are outlined below. 

Non-EU Students

The application process is simple. Please download the following application form here: Non EU Applicants Full Time Programmes Application Form

Please complete and return application form and relevant documents to: international@lyit.ie

Attach your documents as requested on the form. 

Applications generally take 10 days to process once we receive all your documentation. 

Once your application has been reviewed, you will be sent an offer letter with details of fees and start dates for your chosen programme. 

Applications for Non-EU students should reach LYIT no later than 30 May. This is to allow sufficient time to apply for your visa if one is required. Refer to our frequently asked questions for more details. 

Erasmus+ Students 

LYIT gives Erasmus students the option to study for one semester or two semesters. Students can only select modules from one course.  Due to financial constraints, entry to courses is subject to numbers and therefore is not guaranteed.

Application deadlines is 1st May for Semester 1 and 1st November for Semester 2.

Step 1

Step 2

Supply transcript of records of previous academic year (in English). Students interested in Design and Creative Media programmes will have to demonstrate artistic / creative ability and are required to submit an online portfolio. Send this by e-mail to Peter at peter.dobson@lyit.ie.

Step 3

Please send all documents by post or email to (before 1st May for Semester 1 and before 1st November for Semester 2)
