Having the option to complete a Level 9 Masters in Accounting in ATU Doneagl and get the same exemptions from exams as universities in Dublin was initially what drew my attention. I completed my undergraduate accounting degree in Dublin and didn’t know what to expect when starting the Masters in ATU Donegal. The smaller class sizes, friendly/relaxed atmosphere and helpful and supportive lecturers convinced me I had made the right choice. The course itself covers a variety of accounting, tax and finance modules which allows you to see which area you are most interested in and the work placement is an added bonus. Once finished this course I completed my training contract with one of the Big 4 in Dublin. I finished my FAEs with Chartered Accountants Ireland and completed the remaining Chartered Tax Advisor exams with The Irish Tax Institute and I am now working as a manager in a local accountancy firm. This course opens many opportunities for work within the public and private sector across various industries.
