IT Project Management

We were the first cohort to undertake this new course, it was geared completely to impart the theory and practical skills that we were required to have in order to undertake a career as an IT Project Manager. It was very hard work but immensely rewarding for me to undertake this challenge whilst balancing family life. One recurring element of the course was that we were challenged, supported and encouraged by great lecturers in all our subjects. Pramerica Systems Ireland worked in conjunction with LYIT to develop this course, which heightened the potential of career opportunities upon completion.

At SITA we have realised great benefits in recruiting graduates from LYIT, through a long standing relationship grown over the past ten years. The graduates come into the workplace well prepared and their skills set is closely aligned with SITA requirements and expectations. A significant percentage of the SITA Letterkenny workforce have come from LYIT and our collaboration efforts with LYIT over the past few years has provided SITA the opportunity to grow our workforce while maintaining our high standards within the industry.

Pramerica and the Letterkenny Institute of Technology have a long-standing relationship that has evolved since 2000 when Pramerica set up in Letterkenny. Since then, LYIT has been an invaluable partner in helping us find talented, highly qualified candidates for technology and business services positions at Pramerica. LYIT has been to the forefront in developing our skill requirements and has adjusted its curriculum to ensure that its students have the appropriate technical and business skills, knowledge and the mindset needed for a global financial services organisation such as Pramerica. I deeply appreciate the collaborative and the innovative partnership that has developed particularly over the past number of years. Our employee growth and evolution of our service portfolio is testament to our strong partnership with LYIT. I look forward to continuing to work closely with LYIT as it builds a pipeline of talent suitable for our workforce of the future.
