Computer Games Development

The Computer Games course at LYIT gave me the fundamental skills I needed to get my foot in the door of an interactive multimedia company in Canada and work with their games development team, but it also gave me strong core computing skills which I was then able to use to get myself a job in software development back in Ireland. I think it’s a good blend of creative and applied computing modules and opens the door to a range of different potential careers.

When we started Sendmode, we never envisaged we’d be servicing over 10 million transactions per month. To service this, we needed high skilled IT graduates and turned to the LYIT campus for help. The graduates from LYIT proved to be at a very high level of both skill and professionalism and in fact, all of our technical team are graduates from the LYIT, while we also employ graduates in sales, support and marketing.
