This Bachelor of Science in Fire Safety Engineering (Level 8) is a unique add-on programme where you will study a range of mainstream and specialised fire technology subjects. The programme is designed with the needs of modern and existing buildings in mind and will focus on the application of the science and implementation of the knowledge derived from the study programme.
You will gain a detailed knowledge and understanding of the complex nature of the fire growth process in the context of building compartment fires.

Minimum Entry Requirements
- Applicants must have successfully completed a Bachelor of Science/ Bachelor of Engineering (level 7) qualification with 180 ECTS credits and appropriate learning outcomes in a construction technology or related discipline. - Applications are invited from graduates of a level 7 (or above) degree in Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Building Services Engineering or Architectural Technology. -RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) both certified or experiential may be taken into account.

Accreditation The programme has been fully accredited by Engineers Ireland as meeting the educational requirement to enable graduates to apply for associate member grade and gain the title of 'Associate Engineer'. It is also recognised by the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), an Academic Partner.
