This course will provide the student with the theoretical and applied skills to use RDBMS technology in an enterprise or data centre environment, both from the theoretical perspective and as an applied discipline. The module assumes a pre-requisite competence in database theory and RDBMS.

Entry Requirements

A degree in computing or any degree if the candidate has some knowledge of computing including database systems.
A level 8 in Computing or equivalent or a level-7 in computing with at least 3-years relevant industry experience.
A level-8 conversion Higher Diploma in Computing with Merit 2 or higher.
Non-computing graduates with first or second-class honours who have completed a significant element of computing as part of their studies, including a significant element of database technology will also be considered.
Candidates who do not have an Honours degree but have significant relevant experience may also be eligible for consideration via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
