LYIT Students are provided access to a free range of software by a variety of software vendors.
Some of these agreements are an agreement between the LYIT and software vendor and other agreements are between the student and the software vendor. Please note the terms & conditions regarding the use of free software provided by the software vendors.
Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus
LYIT can offer all registered students Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc,) for free! By following the steps below you can install Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus on up to 5 of your personal machines.
Once installed, the application will "contact Office365" once every month to see if you are still a registered student. If it gets a positive reply it will be ok for another month. Once you leave the Institute it will enter a state of reduced functionality until you purchase a license.

How many machines/devices can I install Office 365 Pro Plus on?
Each student can run Office on up to five machines being Mac or PC. You can also run Office Mobile for Android or Office Mobile for iPhone on up to 5 mobile devices.
Is this a full version Office and available for offline use?
Yes, this is full Office on the PC, Mac, iPhone, and Android platform and all are available for offline use.

DreamSpark Software
LYIT are a DreamSpark member which entitles registered students of LYIT free access to hundreds of Microsoft products. Click here to access DreamSpark Software portal. Please note if your student account is not registered with DreamSpark please contact the Computer Service Helpdesk.
VMWare
LYIT are a member of VMWare Academic Program which provides students access to VMWare software for their studies. Please note that the VMWare software is only limited to certain groups of computing students. Click here to access VMWare Software portal. Autodesk
Autodesk provides students who have a valid LYIT student email address access to a wide range of Autodesk software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Maya, etc. Click here to access the Autodesk software portal. Please note LYIT have no direct relationship between the free software offered to students by Autodesk. This agreement is direct relationship between the student and Autodesk.
