Sports Scholarship
While it is not possible to enter LYIT on a sports scholarship, sports scholarships may be awarded post entry.
Registered students with a strong record of achievement in sports, whether as part of a competitive team, or as an individual sports person, may apply for a sports scholarship via the Sports Officer, Paddy Gallagher, Tel (074) 9186810.
Applications are assessed by a panel who will consider the following:-
- The applicant’s participation and achievement in sport
- The applicant’s loyalty and contribution to the sport, team, or sports club with which they are associated
- The applicant’s general attendance and record of achievement in their academic programme.
The Institute hopes to develop the range of sports scholarships further in the coming years.
