ATU Donegal will host an art exhibition to mark the first anniversary of beloved colleague, Joe Carlin

On Saturday 17 September, Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Donegal will host an art exhibition to mark the first anniversary of Joe Carlin.

Joseph (Joe) Carlin was an extremely talented artist from the Crossroads, Killygordon. He sadly died from cancer last September at the age of 54. Joe worked at ATU Donegal for many years and was known on-campus for his kind, friendly and positive nature. A self-taught artist, of many different styles and media, Joe created many pieces, and these pieces will be showcased at the on-campus event from 11am to 4pm this Saturday.

Over 40 of Joe’s art displays will be showcased at this event and all proceeds from the event will be donated to the Oncology Day Unit, a service that supported Joe during his cancer treatment.

The art exhibition has been co-ordinated by Joe’s family and his colleagues at ATU Donegal. Many of the displays on show, are unseen pieces, created by Joe, and this event will showcase Joe’s unique and distinctive style, which has brought joy to many.
