Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Donegal Announce Launch of 15 Springboard+22 funded courses

The 2022 Springboard+ allocations were launched by the Minister for Further and Higher Education Simon Harris. Atlantic Technological University Donegal has been awarded 15 funded programmes across the Letterkenny and Killybegs campuses. These programmes are in the areas of Business, Engineering, Technology and Construction. The courses are funded by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) under the Springboard+ 22 programme.

Springboard+22 courses are free for unemployed participants and for all participants on Level 6 programmes, with 90% funding for those in employment on programmes from Level 7 to Level 9. These programmes are delivered part-time, the majority are fully online and can be completed within one year.

ATU Donegal also offers 3 additional programmes, under the Human Capital Initiative in the areas of Technology and Construction namely, the Higher Diploma in Computing (conversion course into Computing) and the BSc (Hons) in Construction Contracts Management.

The programmes are designed for unemployed and those wishing to upskill in the workplace and are also, designed to meet current skills shortages in Ireland.

In the broader context, Atlantic Technological University, is offering a total of 54 courses under the Springboard+22 programme across the eight campuses in Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Sligo.

Atlantic Technological University has received funding for Springboard+ courses from Springboard+ every year since 2011, and its courses are designed for those actively seeking employment or those already in employment who are wishing to upskill.

Springboard+ funded courses at Atlantic Technological University are accredited programmes and award certification on successful completion from Levels 6 through to Post Graduate Level 9.
