Re-imagined - LYIT Fashion Showcase 2021

As part of our LYIT Graduate Design Exhibition, The Department of Design and Creative Media are delighted to welcome you to the launch of our fashion video showcase which will be coming to you virtually on June 3 at 7.30 pm. With Covid-19 constraints, students and lecturers within the Department have been working endlessly to re-imagine this year’s event to showcase the diverse and unique work from students studying both the BA(Hons) Fashion with Promotion and also the BA Fashion with Promotion.

The fashion video event entitled ‘Confined Yet Unrestricted’ will go live across LYIT’s website and social media platforms at 7.30pm on 3 June and aims to express topics relating to the impact of Covid19, within the individual collections and also through the setting, use of light and theatrical movement.

The event is supported by the Department of Design and Creative Media at LYIT, our Local Enterprise Board (LEO), Grianán theatre (location), Mc Elhinney’s Stores, Gallaghers Spar (Bruckless), Mc Nutt of Donegal and the students themselves who organised a GoFundMe Walkathon campaign.

The fashion video launch is part of a two-day event celebrating the work from all design disciplines from the Department of Design & Creative Media. It will be followed by a virtual exhibition and exhibition website launch for all of the disciplines from the Department of Design & Creative Media on Friday 4 June at 7.30 pm.
