1 Semester / Level 6 / Part-time / Work Placement
The purpose of this programme is to provide the graduate with all-round exposure to the necessary skills required to work in the hospitality and tourism sector, whilst also assisting them in improving their English skills. In addition, this programme aims to assist the learner have a cultural awareness for the sector they are working in.
In addition to studying English modules, students of this programme will look at topics such as food and beverage studies, IT skills and accommodation operations. The purpose of this programme is to provide assistance to individuals who wish to commence their career in the hospitality and tourism sector, but require the basic skills in advance of doing so.

Minimum Entry Requirements
5 O6/H7 in the Leaving Certificate, to include Mathematics (F2/06/H7) and either Irish or English (O6/H7), OR QQI FET Level 5, OR equivalent qualification.
Candidates who do not meet the above entry requirements may be admitted to the programme on the grounds of mature years (over 23 by 1st January in the proposed year of entry). RPL will be considered in accordance with the Quality Assurance of ATU.
