I was attracted to the Graphic Design course at LYIT initially as it had a great reputation and I knew from friends of mine that Letterkenny had a welcoming student environment.

All my lectures were friendly, helpful and very approachable, and I thoroughly enjoyed all my classes. I found the course content informative and engaging, and the facilities very good.

I would recommend the course to anyone interested in graphic design. If you put in the effort you’ll come out with everything you need.

I got my first job from the student graduate showcase and although I’ve more recently moved from graphics to animation, I still use the skills I learned at LYIT everyday.

My course at LYIT was a great experience and one that has helped shaped my future for the better. I can't say enough good things about the staff and how helpful they all are. Lecturers take their roles very seriously and are very passionate about helping students grow and develop.

Every day we were challenged with briefs that forced us to think a little differently. It wasn't always the most technically sound projects that were rewarded top marks, but the ones that were well thought out, projects that made people go: ‘that’s pretty smart or different’.

I would recommend the course to anyone who is in any way creative (or even if you are not). I always thought of myself as more technical and I think that quality is, and has been in many cases, just as effective in producing top class designers.

The course opened many doors for me in the real world. After graduating from LYIT, I quickly found work in an established design studio in Dublin where I spent 16 months before leaving and pursuing something a bit different. Now almost 5 years since I graduated, I am proud to say that I am the Creative Director for two Gin Distillery's based in Ireland.

I feel I have accomplished a lot in the last 5 years and it all started with LYIT as my foundation. I truly believe it offers one of the best courses in the country.
