ATU Donegal is a totally connected institution, whether it be with educational institutions, other public service organisations, employers, community or sporting organisations.

In some cases, formal memoranda of understanding have been agreed with our partners, in others there is a more loose arrangement but the philosophy is to ensure that all our partners see ATU Donegal as a resource at their disposal for the benefit of the region.

Some significant ongoing collaboration include the Connacht-Ulster Alliance (CUA) with IT Sligo and Galway-Mayo IT (GMIT) working towards achieving the criteria for Technological University designation.

ATU Donegal is part of two further and higher education clusters, namely, the West/North West Cluster including IT Sligo, GMIT, and NUI Galway, and a cross-border further and higher education cluster comprising Ulster University, North West Regional College and Donegal ETB (Education & Training Board).

Some of our more unique collaborations include those with Donegal County Council and Donegal GAA.  The signing of Memoranda of Understanding with these bodies have allowed greater interaction and engagement on issues of significant importance to our region.

This narrative only highlights a small portion of ongoing engagement while the list below gives a more comprehensive indication of important stakeholders.
