    Human Resources

    The Human Resources (HR) section is responsible for all aspects of HR management in the Institute including the development, implementation and co-ordination of policies and procedures for the selection and appointment of staff, staff training and development and employee relations.  Employee relations in this context include conditions of employment, salaries and wages, industrial relations, partnership and equality.  Freedom of Information (FOI) is also located within this section.

    Staff Responsiblities

    Human Resources Manager, Shay Henry has responsibility for the overall management of the section. This includes the development, implementation and co-ordination of policies and programs relating to employee relations, staff training and development, superannuation, staff welfare, personnel administration and industrial relations in accordance with Institute policy, procedures and also relevant employment legislation.

    Grade 7, Geraldine O’ Donnell, has overall responsibility for the Freedom of Information Function within the Institute, involved in updating website and annual reports. .

    Grade 6, Linda Tracey, has responsibility for recruitment & selection.  She also has responsibility for staff contracts.  Linda produces the annual returns for the human resources department.  She has responsibility for part-time hours, and a number of other miscellaneous duties.

    Grade 4, Helen McGrandles, has responsibility for recruitment & selection.  She also has responsibility for contracts, training and development, leave, FOI, filing system.

    The Secretary/Financial Controller and Human Resources Manager regularly attend meetings of the respective national groupings established by the Council of Directors.
