Mature Students Bound for Shanghai
Springboard to China at LYIT: a journey back to education that leads to China
Choosing to return to education or change career can be a daunting prospect; however, for a group of mature students at LYIT their journey is taking them to all the way to Shanghai. The Springboard Professional Selling and International Marketing (China) programme is an innovative course and the first of its kind in Ireland, which includes two months intensive exposure to businesses and potential employers in Shanghai. The 13 people selected for the course are from various backgrounds ranging from accounting to teaching and hospitality to a former member of An Garda Síochána. This Department of Business Studies programme is funded by the Higher Education Authority through the Springboard initiative, with the support of the Department of Social Protection.
