- This programme aims to provide a broad training in the management of Law Offices and to produce Legal Executives, Solicitors' Assistants and Law Clerks suited to the needs of solicitors in private practice or employed in Law Departments, whether Government, Municipal or Commercial.

- Basic entry requirements are five passes in the Leaving Certificate including Maths and English/Irish, or an equivalent qualification.

- Understand basic Irish Law and related concepts underpinning the core areas of Irish legal practice.
- Understand the structure, personnel and practice of the Irish legal system.
- Consider and apply the fundamental legal theories to practice.
- Be able to communicate effectively.
- Understand the basic principles of accounting and their application to the legal working world.
- Understand the basic principles of the Irish Income tax and VAT system
- Be able to use IT effectively in a legal environment.
