Our annual Conferring of Awards takes place on Wednesday, 1 November 2017, in the Blue Haven, An Leargaidh Mhór (Largymore), Cill Charthaigh (Kilcar), Co Donegal. 

Letterkenny Campus

Our annual Conferring of Awards takes place on Friday, 27 October 2017, in An Dánlann, LYIT. ‎

Academic Dress

Each graduand will be required to wear academic dress.  This is hired from our supplier at a cost of €25 per gown and hood, and there are several methods of booking: -

Book and pay in advanced at Armstrong and Oxford www.armstrongandoxford.com (credit/debit card required). 

If you have not already booked on line you can pay, by cash, for your gown on the day.  The gowning rooms are located in the Main Building and will be open for business at the following times -

Graduands please note that you may only collect gowns at the session times indicated below.

Killybegs Campus

Gowns will be available in the venue from 9.00 am

Letterkenny Campus

    • Session 1 - Thursday, 26 October 2017: 4.00 - 6.00 pm - Nursing Canteen
    • Friday, 27 October, 2017 8.00 - 9.30 am in Room 1452
    • Session 2 - Friday, 27 October, 2017: 10.00 am - 1.00 pm in Room 1452
    • Session 3 - Friday, 27 October, 2017: 1.30 - 4.30 pm in Room 1452

 Graduate Destination Survey

The process for conducting our annual Graduate Destination Survey has changed. All Higher Education Institutions throughout Ireland have now adopted a uniform format  . From April 2018, you will be sent an email inviting you to complete the short survey online.  Your responses will be very important as they will help to determine planning for future course provision and influence  regional employment policy. The graduate survey will also enable you to provide valuable feedback on your experience as a student at LYIT. All data is anonymised, so no personal or identifying information will be shared. Personal information about named individuals will also not be shared . If you are in agreement for the college  to contact you regarding the graduate survey, please click on the attached link

 Photography

Lafayette Photography has been authorised by the Institute to take individual photographs and will be open before and after each ceremony.  Photography is available to book online at www.lafayette.ie Graduates are not obliged to avail of the facility.  In order to minimise queuing time , you are advised to have your photographs taken prior to your ceremony.

Non-attendance

If you are unable to attend the Conferring of Awards, you may collect your parchment from the Examinatons Office or Registry Office at LYIT from 10 November 2017.  Alternatively, using this email conferring@lyit.ie you can request your parchment to be sent to you by registered post.
