I returned to the college as a mature student in 2012 to obtain a Degree and it proved to be a thoroughly rewarding experience, graduating with a 1:1 in 2014. This laid the foundations for me to progress to a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management at NUI Galway which I successfully completed the following year. The School of Tourism nominated me for the Irish Hospitality Institute’s National Graduate of the year award in 2014 which was a huge honour. The qualifications gained during my first spell at the college enabled me to embark on an exciting Hospitality career in Ireland, London and the U.S. The academic staff are such a strong asset to the School of Tourism. Collectively they possess a wealth of knowledge, expertise and contacts within the Tourism and Hospitality industry worldwide.
