- The graduate will have progressed from a basic understanding of Irish law and related concepts and be able to:
- Demonstrate an advanced level of awareness and understanding of the core areas of Irish law and practice.
- Recognise the pervasive effect of the Constitution.
- Analyse and evaluate the application of jurisprudence to practice.
- Consider and apply increasingly complex legal theories to practice.
- Communicate effectively.
- Are there follow-up Programmes Available?
- It is the intention of LYIT to develop a follow-up Masters Programme.
- Graduates from this programme may pursue studies to Masters level at Universities in Ireland or abroad.
- Graduates of the degree may apply for admission to the Institute of Professional Legal Studies of Queen's University Belfast, and so to qualify for either branch of the legal profession in Northern Ireland.
- Career Opportunities
- Award holders of this programme will find employment in middle and higher positions in the legal departments of business organisations and in law firms.
- Graduates of this programme may apply to do the entrance exam of the Incorporated Law Society.
