- The central aim is to equip Award holders with a range of knowledge, skills and competencies in Business and Languages for use in an International context.
- Award holders will have developed three sets of inter-related knowledge, skills and competencies.
- A range of basic business skills
- A familiarisation with the general and business context in which these skills are practised
- A competence in one European language and a working knowledge of a second European language
- Minimum Academic Entry Requirements
- Basic entry requirements are five passes in the Leaving Certificate including Maths and English/Irish, or an equivalent qualification.

- On successful completion of this programme graduates will:
- have a knowledge, skills and competence level in a major language at B2/C1 level on the Common European Framework and at B1/B2 level in a minor language
- have a knowledge, skills and competence level of the cultural and business environments where the two languages are spoken
- have an understanding of a range of business principles, a basic business skills set and the ability to apply these in an international business context
