The Information Resource Centre is located adjacent to the Institute’s main entrance.  The centre is accommodated on two floors, covering a total of 1,300 m².  The centre was developed as part of Phase 2A of the Institute’s campus development plan and opened in September 1997.  It was extended in August 2003 to accommodate the return of the Department of Design to the Port Road Campus and an overall increase in student numbers.  The extension in August 2003, involved the integration and renovation of two thirty six seat computer laboratories within the centre.  In 2004 the centre will be further extended through a similar renovation of another two computer laboratories.
